Global education has five learning emphases or perspectives: Interdependence and globalisation – an understanding of the complex social, economic and political links between people and the impact that changes have on each other; Identity and cultural diversity – an understanding of self and one’s own culture, and being open to the culture of others

Global education promotes understanding of social justice and human rights and the contribution they make to peace building and conflict resolution. Diversity Global is seeking to inspire global citizenship, build cross-cultural connections, and improve communities through international educational and service programs throughout the developing world.

Sustainable futures.

Globalization has come to stay with wide variety o f impact and implications in different walks o f life. Global education promotes understanding of sustainable futures and the importance of developing skills of critical and creative thinking and ethical understanding. Education and globalization seem to be more intricately related to each other. Global Perspective Diversity courses address the need for students to learn and think critically about historical and/or contemporary global forces and transnational connections. Global education emphasises the unity and interdependence of human society, developing a sense of self and appreciation of cultural diversity, affirmation of social justice and human rights, as well as building peace and actions for a sustainable future in different times and places.
